Pledge Tracking
Pledges are promises to contribute to a committee. Campaign Manager allows for Pledge Tracking so you can see who has promised to make a contribution and who has fulfilled that promise.
How to add a Pledge to an Individual or Organization:
- Search for and select the individual or organization making the pledge.
- Choose the Pledges tab.
- Click the green Add button.
- Fill in the appropriate Type, Amount, and Date.
- If the pledge is associated with a specific event or communication, the Event and Communication drop-down boxes can be used to link them.
- Click the green Save button.
How to enter contributions towards the pledge:
- Search for and select the individual or organization that made the pledge.
- Choose the Pledges tab.
- Click the Fulfill.
- Fill in the amount and date of the write-off.
- Click Save/Close.
- Alternatively, you can go to the Transactions tab of the record's profile.
- Click New Transaction and select the proper contribution type.
- When you are filling out the contribution details, you'll be able to select the pledge from the Pledge drop-down. Please note that this option will not appear if the record does not have any saved pledges.
