Why Are My Transactions Pulling to My Report Without an Election Period?
For the FEC Form 3X, election periods don't pull for transactions if they are marked as Primary or General - they only pull for those that are marked with Other. This is because non-campaign committees don't have primary or general elections.
Technically, the only lines on the Form 3X that requires election periods are those involving contributions made to other committees, since committees are limited to how much can be donated for Primary/General elections.
If you are working on a Form 3X for a non-campaign committee, and find that your report isn't pulling election periods other than those marked as Other, that isn't an issue with the data or the report, but is rather how the report was designed to work.
