63.4. How Do I Resolve a "Camp_ID" Error?

If your MI State Report is triggering an error stating that column 51 (Camp_ID) is required, you can take the following steps to resolve this:

1. After the contacts file has been uploaded into the MI system, you'll need to create a 'campaign' for each candidate committee or ballot measure committee that your PAC is giving to. When you do so, the MI system generates a campaign ID. The format of that ID should be something like 12-123456.
2. That ID then needs to be entered for each committee on the AI360 side that received a disbursement from your PAC. Specifically, if you go to a committee's profile and expand the User Defined Fields, you'll see a compliance field titled MiTN Campaign ID - that's where you'll need to enter the ID from the MI system into that field. 
   
3. Once you've entered that ID for each recipient committee, generate a new draft of the report, and it should begin pulling the camp_id field that was noted in the error messages. This report should then import without any issue.
