25.16. Why is the Receipt For or Disbursement For box blank for certain transactions on the 3X?

On the 3X, the receipt for box that marks the election period is typically for loan repayments from federal candidates and/or refunds.

The disbursement for box is meant for supported/opposed candidates on an expense transaction. 

If you enter in a regular contribution for the 3X, but do not see the receipt for box marked. It's because the FEC's generator does not fill these details in per FEC guidance. See handbook below for more information.

The same applies to an expense transaction. Only supporting/opposing an expense with a candidate will fill in the disbursement for box with the election code.
