33.2. Indiana State Report Schedule A-1

 This help documentation will show the data entry required to populate the Indiana State Report Schedule A-1. Any receipt entered on an individual record will pull to this schedule.The below screenshots show where to find the date, name, address, occupation, type of receipt, amount, and date of receipt on your report as well as where to enter that information in your database.

Indiana uses codes for Occupations and limits the choices to 31 different options (see screenshot below). These codes appear on the efile version of the report, while the PDF version will display the text that the state uses.

If an individual is Retired, Unemployed, a Student, or a Homemaker, then all you need to do is enter that into the occupation field on their profile, and the appropriate occupation code will pull to the efile version of the report (this was the case with records like Mary Holman or Marion Schrock). 

For all other occupations, the occupation code pulls based on whatever the individual's employer has in their industry field. Attached is a non-exhaustive list of all of the industry options that are available for selection on an employer's record, and which of the state's occupation codes they map to. Please note that the four options that pull to the report based just on occupation field, listed above, are handled that way because those individuals will usually not have an employer.

So in order to get these records' occupations to pull to the report, you'll need to:

1. Make sure they have an employer entered on their profile. If a record does not already exist for the employer, you can add one directly from the individual's record by using the Add New Employer option. That option appears when you begin typing into the employer field.
2. That employer needs to have the appropriate industry selected on their own profile.
