96.3. Track Vote Manually
The 'Track Vote Manually' feature allows you to manually keep track of information about a specific Congressional bill or amendment (bolded fields are required).
Using the buttons at the very top, you can save the vote, delete it, or publish it to make it viewable on your website if you are using Aristotle's web-posting feature (contact your sales rep for more information about this feature). To print the vote you'll need to go back to the 'Bills and Votes' dashboard, look down to the 'Votes You Are Tracking Section' and click the printer icon next to the vote you'd like to print.
Bill Information
The 'Bill Information' section allows you to enter all the information described below:
Bill Number: The Congressional Bill number that you would like to track the votes for.
Short Title: Title of Bill
State: State the bill was introduced in ('Federal' is also an option for federal legislation)
Chamber: Congressional Chamber (eg. House, Joint, Senate)

Vote Information
The 'Vote Information' section allows you to enter all the information described below:
Roll Call Number: Roll Call Number
Date: Date Bill is scheduled to be considered
Question: What is being asked in the Bill
Results: Whether the Bill passed or failed
Voting Body: voting Body
Total Yeas: Number of votes for the bill
Total Nays: Number of votes against the bill
Total Present: Total number of legislators present
Total Not Voting: Total number of legislators not voting on the bill
Vote Type: Type of vote that was held (eg. Yea-and-Nay)

Legislator Votes
Here you can record how specific legislators voted on the bill by clicking open the 'Legislator Votes' section and clicking 'Add Legislator Vote'.
You'll then need to search and find each legislator who voted on the bill, check the box next to their name and choose how they voted. Once you've done this for each legislator you can click 'Save' or 'Save and Close' to save/record the votes.
