9.8. Setting-up Joint Fundraising Committees

Setting-up Joint Filing Committees

  1. Create a new committee record using FEC ID Lookup on the Tools menu which will load the info needed in steps 4-6 below.
  2. Or create the new committee record manually thru Quick Search or Contacts
  3. Choose AUTHORIZED COMMITTEE as the Committee Type- manually change the Type assigned if FEC ID lookup was used for record creation
  4. Enter the Registration ID assigned to them by the FEC
  5. Choose FEC for Registration Authority
  6. Enter the address and use address type Other
    • Click Save to create the record 
  7. Select the Connections tab
  8. Choose Connection Type: Joint Fundraising Rep
  9. In the Connect With field, search for and select your filing committee record
  10. Click green Add button
  11. Now the connection appears on both this committee's connection tab as well as your filing committee record.
